When the climate in the Mediterranean turns mild, boats full of migrants leave from the coasts of Africa and Asia trying to reach Europe, the "promised land". On a summer night, after 3 days of travel in the perilous waters of the Mediterranean, Bochra arrived on a Sicilian beach, along with 130 other migrants. All soon escaped, but Bochra remained alone in the limbo between sea and earth… until the tourists arrived.

Penn Cinema & Media Studies, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia, presents the 2018 edition of NEW ITALIAN CINEMA. The festival has been curated by Nicola M. Gentili and aims at showing very recent Italian released films in Philadelphia.
